Development of an autonomous and automated system of recording and analysing eddy-current tests for diagnostics of heat exchanger tubes (AUZAS)
Description of the project
The occurrence of corrosion and ageing processes necessitates diagnostics of industrial facilities with special consideration of the ones that are subject to pressure and thermal loads. An example of such a facility commonly found in heat exchange installations in the petrochemical and thermal industries are heat exchangers. One of the most commonly used method of non-destructive diagnostics of heat exchangers is the eddy-current method. Due to the use of specialised measuring probes, the method enables non-destructive testing and the data obtained in the course of testing can be used to determine the severity of the recorded defects. The solution proposed in the project is aimed at developing a system of automated and autonomous control of heat exchangers.
The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
